Terms and Conditions

These are the term which describe the basis for purchases made by you the customer described here as ' The Buyer'  and SWOONwedding gowns are described herewith as 'The Seller'
When  purchasing a dress directly  from The Seller's Studio all dresses are sold as seen and not refundable.
 The seller will do their best to ensure that the  dresses selected for trying on during the appointment are made available,but they cannot guarantee that all of the dresses will still be available.
If paying by credit card there will be a 2% surcharge. There is no additional charge if using a debit card.If payment is by cheque then no dress will be released to the buyer until the cheque has cleared.Cheques are only acceptable with a valid cheque card.
When advertising a dress for sale through The Seller, the charge is for a minimum 12 months irrespective of whether a dress sells sooner than this.The charge is non-refundable and non- returnable in the event of the garment being sold elsewhere during this period of time.
The customer will be notified within 7 working days should their dress sell.Payments made for dresses sold by The Seller  will be sent either by cheque or bank transfer.
The Seller will take commission on the sale price  as previously agreed and set out on  the paperwork prior to advertising.
In the event of a dress being offered at a reduced price during the advertising period, The Seller's rate of commission will remain the same.
The dress remains the property of the customer at all times during the agreed advertising period.
In the event of a dress not selling within the set time frame the owner will be notified by telephone and/or in writing.Dresses can either be re-advertised for a further 6 or 12 month period subject to payment of a further advertising fee OR must be collected within 4 weeks of the written notification.
Dresses not collected after this period of notification will become the property of The Seller.
The Seller offers a post out service for returning dresses should customers be unable to collect their dress in person.Dresses being returned by post will only be sent via Special Delivery and customer will be required to pre-pay for this service should it be required.
All dresses left with The Seller will be stored carefully with all reasonable steps taken to ensure the dress is kept in the condition which it was received although The Seller cannot accept responsibility for any damage that may occur to the dress during this period
If a dress is left with The Seller to be dry cleaned prior to sale then payment for dry cleaning must be met in full before the gown is returned/sold.
For purchases made online Swoon will accept returns within 3 working days provided the dress is returned in perfect unworn condition.Refunds will only be made subject to these conditions.The Seller will charge a 10% handling fee for returned dresses and reserve the right to deduct cleaning charges should dresses not be returned in their original condition.
The Seller will not pay for the postage costs of returned items,nor refund original postage costs.Such dresses will have to be paid for in full before they can be dispatched.
The Seller reserves the right to decline or send any order and refund in full rather than deliver the goods
The Seller will not be liable for any damage or deterioration to any goods which may occur afterwards whether due to inappropriate use, unsuitable storage, neglect, alteration accident rr any other cause whatsoever
